The name

A flower, a daughter, and a homeland remembered.

མེ་ཏོག Metok means flower in Tibetan. It's a name close to Tenzin's heart: her daughter is Pema, the lotus.

1959 is the year Tibet lost its independence. Every jar carries that date in memory of Tibet and the people who keep its traditions alive, wherever they are.
